Now to our top 3!

Nº3 of the world is polish Anja Rubik. The top model has appeared topless in several magazines, editorials and adds. I call if fierciness.

But out of the runways, Anja is obviously a big fan of volume, and she wears it well.
Be it on her pants of coats, I don't think you'll ever be bored by her looks.

And I'll give her the 'most daring supermodel' prize, because she deserves it, for sure! I like her attitude.

Nº2 of our list is the very well known Freja Beha Erichsen. I think even someone who has never heard of models, has heard of her.

The denmark face of Haute Couture is a fan of all blak looks. I particularly like it very much, but for most people, being in black all the time in every look can make you too much the center of attention, or too little. For her, it works.

Plus, we can see a bit of color now and then.

And finally, our Nº1 is russian most famous model, Natasha Poly (or Natalia Polevshchikova).

Being an experienced model, her style has had variety over time.

From big fashionist coats to skinny jeans and jackets, the model obviously loves fur (let us hope it's fake!)
But honestly, do you know someone else who can pull of this futuristic look?

This is my absolute favorite, I love everything about it.

So what did you think about our top model's street styles? As you can see, even thought they are very into the fashion industry, each has developed their own style, and wear things they like without being victims of fashion rules and trends. That's what we should learn, to take up the trends that suit us and get the most out of the fashion industry!

The Top 5 Models of the world and what they wear

Models.com has a list of the world's most broadcasted top models of today. As top models, we all know how they look like on the runway, but what are their personal styles? Part of being a top model is the influence you'll have with your personal style.

Nº5 of our list is Abbey Lee Kershaw, australian sweetheart (also ranked 21st on the "Top Money Girls" list by models.com) and as we can see, she is great with layers.

We often see the beauty wearing jackets over dresses, and boots. Quite vintage and hippie inspired, always.

I personaly think her style is very worthy of a top 5 as well.

Nº4 is Joan Smalls, the Puerto Rico girl, whose real name is Joan Rodriguez.

The latina has a basic style, but very sophisticated one. If we consider her great figure and beautiful skin, why not?

Karlie Kloss share Joan's 4º place. American ballet dancer, also named best model in 2008 by People magazine.

Karlie has unique beauty, and the typical american girl style suits her well.

She keeps her silhouettes clean and straight. We see her in simple but very well put up clothes, and not too much layering. She keeps the center of her look in an accessorie, a vest, a purse, or a lipstick.

So check on us again, and we'll get to know how our top 3 styles are!

Cornered Shakib And Tamim Can Give West Indies Anxious Moments

What actually happened in Bangladeshcricket after the Zimbabwehad been unexpected and pathetic. To think a Bangladeshside without Shakib being the captain is quite impossible to think for manyShakib and Bangladeshcricket fans. But the world moves on and in course of time the Caribbeanare again visiting Bangladeshafter almost nine years. The last time they visited our country in 2002, theycompletely blew us away.

But two years ago on their own backyard the Tigers hadbeaten the Caribbean in both Test and ODIs. Shakib ledfrom the front and the rest of the team responded to their captain’s dynamism asit had been a Bangladeshi swansong.

But as time progressed things have changed. Shakib is notthe captain any more and under the young Mushfiqur Rahim the Tigers arepreparing to take on the West Indies. In a sense the West Indies are clearly the favourites and with a poor Test record, offfield chaos and recent dismal performances under their belt, Bangladeshwill start the series with butterfly in their stomach.

The West Indies under Sammy will landin Bangladeshi soil to payback the Tigers which they did to the Caribbeanin 2009. Their recent shock win over the English at the Oval in the T20 hasdone a world of good for them in terms of confidence boosting while Bangladeshhas nothing such positives under their belt to start the Test series. Again, the West Indians had been good against both Indiaand Pakistan intheir home series and they do have the spices to topple Bangladesh.

But should Bangladeshjust wait for the Calypso beat tuned in to start the destruction music toannihilate them?

Before the start of the Caribbeanmission the Tigers are preparing with longer version match which should havebeen done before the ZimbabweTest match. It’s a good move and with this the selectors will be able to judgewhom to pick and whom to ignore. The Bangladeshi batting is a headache and itsinconsistency has been a matter of upset for all of us. It still is dependenton two golden boys of Bangladeshcricket: Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan.

BCB and its highest officials might have ditched them butmind you there will no short of commitment from them. Both of the men will givetheir best to essay another 2009. If Tamim and Shakib’s bat can notch bigscores then if the others just support that score with good totals then thebatting can press a glimpse of hope.

The Tigers’ main strength is bowling and it’s being led bythe majestic Shakib Al Hasan. He is being hurt, he is being insulted and he isbeing ignored from a role in which he is best equipped with. But if he gets thecherry in his hands there will be one thing in his mind which is to get theopposition wickets. Over the years Shakib’s bowling has been proven critical intaking crucial wickets and his arm balls have been handy for even the very bestin the business.

It will be interesting to see how Mushfiqur uses Shakib. Hemust take more and more advises from his seniors and while setting the field hemust ask his bowlers with what sort of field he wants to bowl with. Mushfiqmust use Shakib intelligently. Shakib should be used in combination with RubelHossain’s pace which is suppose give the opposition batsmen clueless and torridmoments.

I am not sure on what combination the selectors or the coachwill come up with but I would suggest keeping Shahriar Nafees in the team andgiving the young Shuvagata Hom a chance by not wasting any more time on MohamamdAshraful. The young lad deserves a place and so far he has proved his worth toclaim a place in the side.

Tough challenge ahead for the young Mushfiqur Rahim as manyfans in Bangladesh still think he is not ready for the tough assignment. Butthe tough persons prove critics wrong with strong performances. If Rahim has toshut the critic’s mouth then he has to deliver the best both as a captain andas a player.

Lastly, the West Indies are thefavourites but a determined and cornered Shakib and Tamim can shake the Caribbean

Running out of Black!

A/W 11 follows the direction of the trends of S/S 11 and the colors are still really in.

With the cold weather we are used to build several layers of clothing and is much easier to create a black monochromatic look, but this season is more about colors and textures.

Colors like brown, green and wine are great for winter and tweeds are a very warm way to fight the basic and boring black.

Canary yellow promises to be the next big thing for S/S 12, why not invest in some garments in this color? It is a great way to break the ice of that black dress that you have in the closet!

The silk blouses were reinvented for fall: besides being a staple that can be loaded from work to a night out, it brings the charm to any look!

With the Tribal vibe going on at the fashion world this season, it is difficult to ignore the vibrant colors and prints!

Another trend is the Polka, abuse of this pattern to create fun looks with a vintage flair and clear away the monochromatic!

Do not use the excuse of androgyny to park into the black zone! Think more about the male wardrobe and take it those prints we love: stripes, chalk stripe and plaid too!

And to up that look for a night out, abuse of the stars, the more sparkle the better!

With all these trends will be easy to avoid the black!

What do you think about a colorful wardrobe for the winter?!

Graeme Pollock Essays An Epic On One Leg

Left-hand batsmen in cricket essays grace and romance with amazing authority than the right handed batsmen. Cricket since the start of the Test cricket in 1876-77 has been blessed with left-hand artists. Graeme Pollock was one of those elegant left-hand artists who looked elegant just sauntering two paces between deliveries and idly patting down the pitch.

In 1967 the Australian side under Bobby Simpson was touring South Africa and the Kangaroos went into the second Test at Cape Town with one down. But at Cape Town the Aussies came back strongly to maul the Proteas. It had been an easy win for the Aussies to level the series but this Test match had been significant due to one man’s courage and majestic art, Graeme Pollock.

Australia made a massive 542 with hundreds from Simpson and Stackpole with Edie Barlow for the first time picking up five wickets in Tests. In reply the Proteas finished the second day reeling with 56-3. Graeme Pollock being not out on 28.

On the third day it was warm and sunny at New Lands. The extreme intensity of colour that Cape Town specializes in on a summer’s day was heightened by the excitement of the moment. Hardly any spectator had noticed the deep blue of the sky over Table Mountain and the contrasting green of the outfield.

Graeme Pollock came out to bat at 11 am.

HR Lance went back quickly to give the stage to Dennis Lindsay; the hero of the first Test. Renneberg bowled a bouncer to Lindsay. He hooked it caught the shoulder of the bat, went into his forehead and rebounded three quarters of the way back down the pitch for Renneberg to stretch to take the catch. Lindsay regained consciousness and found that he was on his way to the pavilion with South Africa on 85-5.

Then Pollock took over.

Pollock had come out to bat in his normal number four slot but was clearly severely handicapped on the second day and relied on limited movement while scoring his 28. Pollock had strained a thigh muscle amidst a casualty list that included his brother Peter Pollock and Richard Dumbrill; South Africa had fielded three subs for most of the Australian innings.

But true champions pick themselves up when the going gets tough.

After the dismissal of Lindsay the advent of Peter Van der Merwe sent Pollock in a rampage. A left-handers front-foot is the right leg and that being handicapped, Pollock shifted his balance on the back-foot and played his traditional cover drives relying on the back-foot throughout his master piece. Each time the ball caressed the cover fields, Pollock’s right toe was seen airborne as no balance being shifted there.

In the next four hours, partnered by Peter Van der Merwe, the young maestro reached his fifth Test hundred in three and a quarter hours, after facing only 139 balls. But Pollock’s carnage was unstoppable. He continued to display astonishing courage and determination to give the South African total enough respectability.

There had been cuts, pulls and drives of highest quality which one can think of. The wickets kept falling at the other end but the willow of Graeme Pollock was essaying the innings of a life time. When he finally nicked a wide one to Taber Pollock had made an eye catching 209 out of a 331 with thirty 4s. The innings built to crescendo with two Pollocks establishing a 9th wicket record of 85 in 67 minutes.

South Africa had lost the Test. But by no means can this classical knock be undermined. Though Pollock’s actual grace was being missing due to an injury but those fluent drives through the covers and square of the wicket on the back-foot describes the talent and courage of this man.

In his short career Pollock did score some scintillating hundreds but this hundred is one of the best in true sense of terms. Perhaps one of the finest knock achieved under adversity.

Apartheid had cut short his career but had he been around then surely the Gods would have showered flowers from the heaven each time he would walked out to bat.

Feminine and Professional working wardrobe

Opening my English edition of Elle this month, the first article I read was a Courtney Emartin one, "Feminism: We really got all that?"

For a long time I wanted to write about it and never had much inspiration, but surely that piece gave me what I needed!
Long years have passed since women "burned bras" and fought for equality in the constitution. Though they have managed to open the legal way for equality, prejudice is not only on the laws, but in people's minds.

When I say this, I am referring not only to sexism. In women's head  there is still a long way to go for considering themselfs "equal".
The way you dress says a lot about who you are, or at least who you appear to be. One of the biggest dilemmas that women suffer when dressing is to keep the work wardrobe seriously but still feminine.

For many years women have opted for the famous suit in the workplace and it was not because androgyny was in. They wanted to be respected in the workplace then decided to match their wardrobe to men's clothes.
We can see in the 80's and 90's much structure in the shoulders and large pants in offices, the women wanted to be recognized for their talent and not for their beauty.

Today women have gained more space and are occupying increasingly prominent positions and the need to match the men gradually disappears.
That's why the new must-have garment for  the working wardrobe is the dress 18 hours, which can be taken from the work to a night out.

This shows that women are trying to get back on track for more feminine look. The problem is that many people confuse "sexy and feminine" with "vulgar and adolescent" and end up betting on desperate combinations as mini skirt or clevage for the office.

The secret to not get lost in the middle of this path is self-knowledge. Knowing the shape of your body, your correct size and understand the points to be shown off!
In an era of women wearing barely nothing in magazines, movies and TV shows the image of the Gucci woman inspires me to be sexy and professional in the correct proportions. Showing that it is entirely possible to be sexy, feminine and professional showing less and valorize more herself.

Because less is more. What do you use in your work?

Rock in Rio

Rock in Rio this year was fully crowded on friday with Katy Perry's, Elton John's and Rihanna's performances. The first day was basically pop.
Let's check out their outfits, shall we?

Katy Perry changed her outfit a thousand times over the songs, and specially at the 'Hot and Cold' song, which was worth about 10 different dresses, each one fitting under the other.

She even called a fan on stage and let him kiss her! Katy then said 'get the fuck off my stage' and sang 'I Kissed a Girl' a girl? Troll much.

This guy's new an instant Twitter celebrity.

Elton John wore his usual not-so-sutil style.

But his songs will never get old. I just love him.

Rihanna closed the night with a lot of energy.

She's great live, but a bit shy with the public. She didn't say much, but as we can see, her outfit spoke for her. Plus, I love her hair like this, for me it's so much better than the bright red.

And she kept the candy-like outfit through the whole show.

I have to say I quite like the glasses.
So are you guys ready for the whole week of Rock in Rio? Concerts are going to get more rock 'n roll like.

Tiger Pataudi Would Have Been The Perfect Package At Present

Some people are born ahead of their times, some people areborn to keep the people of his time guessing with their charisma and awesomeindividuality. The dynamic Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi had been such a characterin the history of cricket.

Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was ahead of his time and teammates in terms of thought and skills. When he played in the Indian side theIndian team was a side who mostly depended on defensive mindset. But MAKPataudi decided not to hang on with such defensive mindset.

His batting had the sparkle of a modern day batsmanship. Ithad the care a dam attitude like Sehwag. For almost 25 years Indians, followingthe example set by Vijay Merchant, had never lifted the ball. In the Testseries against Ted Dexter’s Englandin 1961, Pataudi lifted the ball deliberately and successfully. He made a 103in just 2 hours and 35 minutes and Indiaeasily won their second successive Test victory and their first Test series winagainst England.Mind you, the Tiger was playing the Test series with one eye as his left eyehad been lost due to a car injury.

Tiger’s batting was unorthodox which at that point of timethe purist’s hated but it had an appeal to catch the attention of the criticsand it inspired a team which wasn’t used to exhibit the daring skills ofcricket. His batting pulled crowd.

Again, as a fielder he was electric and fascinating and hehad the reflexes of an Azharuddin, Yuvraj or Mohamamd Kaif . Sub-continentalsides at that point of time never took fielding seriously and for which it wasnever given that much importance. But Tiger’s excellent fielding changed thingsand made his team realized that like batting and bowling fielding is equally importantin cricket and proves critical in determining victory and defeats.

But more than his charismatic batting and quicksilverfielding it had been his captaincy that has made him a part of Indian cricket’sfolklore. By international standards Pataudi’s long reign isn’t impressive butfor the Indians what stands out was the way he changed the game. To a nationthat since its Test debut thought that a draw was equivalent to a victory, hebrought the prospect of often unexpected victories. His captaincy had anelement of daring, at times unpredictable, so that even when Indiafailed, the impression was of having attempted the impossible. Ptatudi’s Indiawere infuriating but never boring. Under Pataudi Indiadeveloped the courage to dream and under him Indianever lost hope.

Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi had been a cricketer whocould have been an ornament of modern day cricket. His batting would have suitedeasily in a 50-over format or a T20 format, his majestic fielding would havebeen invaluable for Indiaand above all, his astonishingly daring, thoughtful and unconventionalcaptaincy would have made the current Indian team develop the aura ofinvincibility.

Overall, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was one of those rarebreeds like a Bradman, Sobers or the 3W’s who could fit in any generation, inany formation of the game.

MAK Pataudi is cricket’s charisma in true sense of terms.

Finding the Right Red Lipstick For Your Skin Tone

Red lipstick is something that will never go out of fashion, and can be worn by everyone. But not all reds are the same, and you must wear the tone that will accentuate your looks, not take all of your attention away to your lips.

The first thing to know is that, when wearing red lipstick, it's best that you make it the highlight of your make-up. You don't want to look like a clown; keep the rest of your face light, so the focus will be your lips.

For light skin, reds that are bright or a bit pink, but keeping the lighter tones will look best. They will bright up your skin, specially if you are a bit 'pink'.

For dark or super tanned skin, choose a red colour that is close to light pink, orange or salmon. Remember that it's still red, we are talking only about the undercolors. The tones that are a bit less vibrant will make a better choice.

There are also people who look good with all shades os red. Lucky them, huh?

If in doubt, test! Every store or stand has testers, and by applying different shades and tones on your forearm, you can easily tell which one is the right for you.

For me the best brands for lipstick are M.A.C and Lancôme. They are soft and some of them have a moisturizing effect, which means your lips don't dehydrate. Plus, red lipstick is never going out of fashion, so you can have as many shades as you want without worrying if you'll wear them all.
